Speaking just before Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the first phase of the 79.7 km Hazaribagh-Koderma DMU train, Prabhu said the next phase of 60-km long stretch would be completed soon and that Hazaribagh will be connected with the state capital Ranchi within a year.
Assuring more facilities to the newly inaugurated Hazaribagh railway station as urged by former Union minister and senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha, Prabhu pitched for maximum transportation of minerals by rail so that both the railways and the state could benefit.
Das said his government has decided to modernise and revamp the Patratu Thermal Power Station in collaboration with NTPC to increase power generation in the country in the next four years.
The Chief Minister urged the Railway Ministry to provide more rail facilities in Lohardaga, Latehar, Dumka and Giridih districts.
