Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today expressed "shock" at Cabinet's recommendation for imposition of President's rule in Arunachal Pradesh, terming it as "murder" of the country's Constitution.

"Union Cab recommending Prez rule in Arunachal shocking. Murder of Consti on Rep D eve. BJP lost elections. Now acquiring power thro back door," Kejirwal tweeted.

The Union Cabinet today recommended imposition of President's Rule in Arunachal Pradesh, which has been going through political turmoil.

Chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Cabinet met this morning and recommended imposition of President's rule in the hill state, official sources said.

Arunachal Pradesh was rocked by a political crisis on December 16 last year as 21 rebel Congress MLAs joined hands with 11 of BJP and two independents to 'impeach' Assembly Speaker Nabam Rebia at a makeshift venue, in a move branded as "illegal and unconstitutional" by the Speaker.
