A 40-year-old priest, said to be upset over allegations and remarks against various religious leaders, allegedly bobbitised himself, the police said today.
Mahant Anil Purohit of Sewa Wali Sewagiri Dham was allegedly upset due to allegations and remarks levelled against various religious leaders, said Mandhan police station SHO Ram Kishan today, adding that the mahant bobbitised himself in his room late yesterday night.
The police official said that Mahant's followers took him to a hospital from where he was referred to Jaipur for treatment.
Purohit is being treated in Jaipur and his statements were recorded, he added.
