Based on a private complaint filed by one advocate Gollapudi Ramarao, the First Class Additional Munsif Court here directed the Khammam Two Town police to investigate the matter and file a status report before it.
A senior police officer said they were yet to receive the court orders and said they will proceed as per the law.
Ramarao in the petition alleged the Telananga Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief of making certain objectionable remarks and criticising the Prime Minister and other senior Congress leaders, during the Samara Deeksha organised by the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC).
Meanwhile, a handful of pro-Telangana advocates raised slogans and argued with Ramarao in the court premises for filing the complaint against Chandrasekhar Rao.
