The initiative 'Educate to HEAL (hire, educate, accept, leprosy-affected)', of the Leprosy Mission Trust India would reach 40,000 children, their teachers and parents, director of the Trust Dr Sunil Anand claimed.
While the programme will use three superhero characters and games to explain the cause, cure and myths of leprosy, another group will perform a skit on the disease. Besides, an inter-school multimedia competition has also been announced as a part of the programme, he said.
Incidentally, the Trust in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and the National Human Rights Commission had launched its nationwide campaign 'HEAL India' earlier this month.
