Protest erupts after 3 killed in accident; 2 cops injured

Three persons, including a minor, were today killed when the motorbike they were riding on was hit by a truck in the city area here leading to violent protests by locals injuring two policemen, police said.
Jai Singh (55), Meera Devi (50) and their nephew (3) were killed on the spot when the truck hit their motorbike, they said.
As soon as the news spread, locals got agitated and set afire three trucks, police said.
When police tried to control them, they started pelting stones in which two policemen were injured, including Circle officer Jangbahadur, they said.
Later, police had resort to firing in the air to control the situation.

An FIR has been registered in this regard, they said, adding, no arrests have been made so far.
