Protests against Delhi gang-rape

Before submitting a memorandum to a Raj Bhawan official, the protesters raised slogans demanding justice for the victim and framing of a stringent law to tackle crimes against women.

In the petition, they demanded speedy trial of the present case, capital punishment to all the six accused besides setting up special courts to try perpetrators of rape.

Several women and students groups carried out similar protests at the busy Dak Bunglow roundabout demanding justice for the 23-year-old victim who died in a Singapore hospital early this morning.
