Shinde also said the Home Ministry has sanctioned another 370 PCR vans for Delhi Police as well as additional women police personnel. Kumar outlined the steps taken to ensure women's safety in the capital and spoke about the performance of Delhi Police in the last one year. He said the Delhi Police will soon launch 'Martyr's Fund' which would be funded by police personnel who will contribute their one day salary. "This money will be used to help the family members of the martyrs' and education for their children and families," he said. Kumar also said the Delhi Police has increased the number of '100' helpline numbers from 60 to 100.
