Pulikali held as part of Onam festival

Thrissur town, considered as the cultural capital of Kerala, today witnessed the famed 'Pulikali (Tiger dance) by around 300 artisians donning tiger masks and sporting the painted stripes of the big cat.
Special attraction of this year's event was participation of women also in the, one of the main event organised as part of the week-long Onam festival.
Six teams, including the Kanattukara Pulikali Sangam, Ayyanthol Desam Pulikali Coordination Committee and Kotturam Desam took part in the dance, which was witnessed by a large number of people, braving drizzling in many parts of the town.
