Punjab and Sind Bank lifts Baba Farid Gold Cup hockey
Press Trust of India Faridkot Punjab and Sind Bank Academy lifted the 22nd All India Baba Farid Gold Cup hockey tournament by defeating Indian Air Force 2-0, here today.
The bankmen opened their account through a field goal from Jagrup Singh.
After change of ends, Gaganpreet Singh converted a penalty corner to double Punjab and Sind Bank's lead.
Punjab and Sind Bank utilised one out of three penalty corners they earned in the match, whereas the IAF wasted four penalty corners that came their way.
Meanwhile in the women competition, Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala defeated Chandigarh Club to win the trophy.
