Punjab govt agrees to demands of state-aided school teachers

A delegation of the Punjab State-Aided School Teachers and Employees Union had a meeting with Local Bodies minister Chuni Lal Bhagat and Education minister Sikander Singh Maluka here.

The ministers acceded to all their major demands, including pay fixation of primary wing employees in accordance with the Fifth Pay Commission, an official release said.

The ministers assured the delegation that their other demands would also be looked into.
