"No laxity in duty would be tolerated and punctuality and accountability of officers should be strictly ensured," Punjab Health Minister Surjit Kumar Jyani said here.
The Minister, after a surprise checking at district hospital at Mansa and sub division hospital Giddarbaha, advised employees of the department to discharge their duty with full dedication.
He said if any doctor, official or employee found guilty of not performing his duty properly, action would be taken.
Issuing a strict warning against the sale of banned drugs and sale of drugs without the prescription of the competent authority at medical stores, he said Drug Inspectors should regularly conduct surprise raids at medical stores.
