The centres will be established at Ludhiana, Bathinda, Hoshiarpur and Amritsar, an official spokesperson said.
He said these centers will operate as skill training-cum-production centres, creating employment as well as providing requisite skilled manpower to industries.
Each of these centres will require about 8 to 10 acres and will cost around Rs 60 crore apart from the land cost, he said.
Initially, 50 per cent of the money is to be provided by the Union Ministry of Labour and the rest half by the state government.
