Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif welcomed the investment in energy sector during a meeting with the Qatari and Chinese delegations who called on him here at the Prime Minister House today.
The Prime Minister said that two projects, each one of 660 MW, will be set up at Gaddani in restive Balochistan province and two at Port Qasim.
Welcoming the delegations, Sharif expressed his pleasure over foreign investment in power projects in Pakistan, which is facing severe energy crisis.
He said that for the time being imported coal would be used in the projects till Pakistan's coal is ready for mining.
Sharif assured the delegations that the government would provide full assistance in commissioning of the projects.
