Rahul appoints P C Zoram Sangliana co-chair Mizoram campaign committee

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday appointed P C Zoram Sangliana as the co-chair of the Mizoram Pradesh Campaign Committee.

The Election Commission on Friday issued notification for the November 28 Mizoram Assembly election, enabling candidates to start filing their nomination papers.

The tenure of the 40-member Assembly in Mizoram, the only Congress-ruled state in the northeast, expires on December 15.

Gandhi also appointed Dr B Pushpa Amarnath as president of Karnataka State Mahila Congress.
