"Rahul Gandhi has no understanding of agriculture issues. Congress ruled the country for so many years but they did nothing for farmer," BJPKM President Vijay Pal Singh Tomar said, stressing that a man who comes from a village knows the real issues.
He claimed Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led central government has taken several initiatives in farmers' interest which would give positive results.
Tomar said the PM's announcement to change the name of agriculture ministry in his Independence day speech shows his keen interest in the welfare of farmers.
