Rain ravage: Trains cancelled due to damaged tracks in AP

Several trains have been cancelled, rescheduled or diverted due to damages to rail tracks in Vijayawada division of South Central Railway following heavy rains.
Trains 12727 Godavari Express, 12739 Garibrath, 18509 Visakhpatnam-Nanded and 17488 Visakhpatnam-Tirupati Tirumala Express scheduled to leave here today have been cancelled, according to railway sources.
Train no. 12842 Chennai Central-Howrah Coromandal Express was also cancelled.
A number of trains coming towards Visakhapatnam scheduled to start yesterday were also cancelled.
Sources said the train services between Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada will remain cancelled till the restoration work of damaged tracks was on.
Besides, train no. 12803 Visakhapatnam-Nizamuddin Swarnajayanti Express will be diverted to run via Vizianagram, Titlagarh, Raipur and Nagpur.
