According to report from Fatehpur district, nine persons were killed in different areas after being hit by lightning.
The Lucknow MeT office said Kaimganj and Lalitpur recorded rainfall measuring 10-cm each; followed by Aligarh 9-cm; Bareilly and Narrora 6-cm each; and Nighasan, Lalganj, Iglas and Jalabad 5-cm each.
Gaighat, Fatehgarh, Shahganj, Palliakalan, Jasrana and Meerut received rainfall measuring 4-cm each, while Meja, Harriya, Ayodhya, Chibramau, Kanpur Lakhimpur Kheri, Shaswan, Jalesar, Garotha and Jhansi recorded rains of 3-cm each.
As per a MeT department forecast, rain or thundershowers may occur at many places over eastern Uttar Pradesh and at a few places over western parts of the state tomorrow.
