Rajasthan Industries Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar has asked industrialists, labourers and artisans to share their problems with him face to face and assured expeditious redressal of their problems.
He said this here during a series of meetings with industrialists, their organisations and artisans during a two-day visit to Jodhpur on Friday and Saturday.
Khimsar assured them to hold regular meetings with them to ensure speedy redressal of different issues which are hindering industrial development.
The minister also advised the industrialists to set up their industries on government lands so as to avoid inherent complications.
"If the industries are set up on government lands, the government will be in better position to solve the problems," he said.
He expressed his intentions to set up a separate zone for the tie and dye industries.
While addressing the artisans and labourers of the handicraft industry, Khimsar reiterated their role in promotion of ethnicity, culture and tourism in the state and said that the state government is mulling a proposal to honour the artisans.
"We are also committed to resolution of the problems of the workers and artisans pertaining to taxes, finance and sales etc. Like industrialists, they also are free to come to me and put forward their problems without any hesitation," said Khimsar.
The industrialists informed the minister about various issues like VAT on handicraft items, expediting the work of Mega Cluster for Handicraft, saw machines and land among others.
Khimsar assured them that their issues will be taken up with chief minister Vasundhara Raje.
Terming the industries to be the main source of employment in the state and a means to check the exodus of rural youths to the urban areas, Khimsar reiterated the government's commitment to promote industries in the state.
