Raj not to allow pvt educational institutions to raise fee

A committee headed by retired justice would decide the fee regime of private educational institutions and would not allow them to raise it at their will, Rajasthan Assembly was told today.
Independent MLA M C Surana, during Zero Hour, raised the issue suggesting the government to provide a platform for private educational institutions' owners for hearing so that the fee matter be resolved amicably.
Objecting the Independent MLA's demand, Education Minister K C Saraf said the committee was set up on the order of the High Court, and so far the fee regime of 230 schools was fixed and they could not raise it at their will.

Retired Justice Shiv Kumar Sharma was heading the committee on fee fixation in private schools, he said.
Fee fixation of 21,524 schools would be fixed by the committee soon, and if any school does not submit accounts details and fee structure, a notice would be served.
On an issue whether to have coal tar road in wildlife sanctuaries, PWD Minister Yunus Khan told the House that as per the Union government's guidelines, there could be only gravel road (temporary road) in the sanctuaries, and coal tar roads were not allowed.
