Reacting on the Budget of the Vasundhra Raje government, PCC President Sachin Pilot said revision of water supply rates, 14 per cent VAT on inverter and UPS and other provisions would increase inflation.
The former Union Minister said privatisation of the state roadways would increase public transportation cost and pave way for the privatisation of public undertakings.
He said the government did not increase allocation for the free medicine scheme initiated by the former Congress government and there is no provision for development, jobs and women empowerment in the Budget.
Questioning the government's decision to renegotiate the oil refinery project with HPCL, Dudi said it seems that the government wants to give refinery projects to big houses.
"Public private partnership (PPP) in electricity, water and roads indicate that they are all set to increase prices. It is unfortunate that Budgets of the Centre and state have done nothing to curb inflation," he added.
CPI(M) also criticised the Budget calling it anti-farmer and anti-people.
State Secretary Vasu Dev said the Budget is anti-labourers and farmers and the Chief Minister made amendments in the labour laws to benefit capitalists.
BJP welcomed the Budget and said its provisions would give a new dimension to development in the state.
Party state president and legislator Ashok Parnami said the Budget would fulfil the promise of good governance, create new employment opportunities and accelerate development.
Industry body CII termed the Budget as comprehensive and reformist.
CII Rajasthan State Council's Vice Chairman Suresh K Poddar said the Budget would bring rich dividends over a period of time and position the state well on development index over a period of time.
"The Budget is a comprehensive Budget with focus on major sectors like tourism, medical, vocational education, renewable energy and infrastructure," he said.
