Chairing a meeting of the authority here, Raje said the first phase of the project of linking river basins will benefit 11 districts and the project will be expanded to the entire state.
She directed the authority to prepare integrated maps of all river basins, water resources and dams so that the work on constructing the proposed water grid for irrigation could be started.
Internal linkage to connect rivers will be established and at a later stage, a state level water grid will be made. The proposed grid will have its expansion to Barmer.
Water Resources Minister Rampratap, Chairman of the Authority Sriram Vedire, senior officials and engineers of the water resources department were also present in the meeting.
