BJP President Amit Shah along with Home Minister Rajnath Singh tonight held consultations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence to discuss the upcoming bye-elections in various states including UP and Gujarat.
Sources said the two leaders discussed with Modi, the party's strategy as well as BJP candidates for the bypolls to fill up some vacancies in Lok Sabha and various assembly constituencies in the states.
Among the constituencies is Vadodara Lok Sabha seat which Prime Minister Modi vacated after winning it with a record margin. He had to vacate the Vadodara seat as he decided to retain the Varanasi Lok Sabha seat.
