Rajnath meets Nepalese leaders

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today held a series of meetings with prominent leaders of major political parties in Nepal including with President Ram Baran Yadav and underlined the need for an inclusive and federal Constitution for the country.
"In my meetings with Nepali leaders I stressed upon the need for an inclusive and federal Constitution in the Himalayan country," Singh said in a tweet, describing his meetings with Nepalese leaders.
Singh is in Kathmandu to attend the sixth SAARC Interior/ Home Ministers' meeting that concluded today.
Those whom the Home Minister met include Chairman of Unified Communist Party of Nepal, Prachanda, Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist) K P Oli and Madhesi leaders.
Singh told the Nepalese leaders that to achieve political stability in Nepal, the leaders of the country should work together to build a consensus on framing the Constitution.
"I am confident that Nepal will soon return on its path to political stability, peace and prosperity," he said.
The Home Minister appreciated the political leaders of Nepal who broadly agreed to work on drafting a Constitution by taking all stakeholders into confidence.
Meanwhile, the SAARC Home Ministers' conference unanimously adopted Singh's proposal to establish a 'Centre for Good Governance'.
Officers from SAARC member countries would share their experience on governance at the Centre.
