"Prima facie explanation of CP Maria appears satisfactory. However, some points need further elaboration. Have asked ACS to look into it," read Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis on Twitter.
Incidentally, Fadnavis was expected to form a "final opinion" by today evening about the "information" furnished by Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria about his meeting with Lalit Modi in London in 2014, when the Congress-NCP government was in power.
"Rakesh Maria submitted information sought by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to Additional Chief Secretary (Home) K P Bakshi last evening. He is now in the process of examining the report and he will give his final opinion to the CM by this evening," a senior Home Department official had told PTI earlier.
