Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the love story stars Ranbir alongside his former girlfriend Deepika Padukone. It will be Ranbir's first project to release in Russia.
"My grandfather was very popular in Russia. The people of Russia gave tremendous love to him and his films. Finally, I am getting a chance to release my film 'Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani' in Russia.
"I hope that Russia opens up a very big market for Indian cinema. I think Indian film market is growing globally we have big markets in Brazil, China, Japan and I think Russia coming into the picture would be great for Indian cinema," Ranbir said.
"Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani" is Ranbir's second outing with Mukerji after "Wake Up Sid". The film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in the lead and will hit theaters this Friday.
