The 26-year-old actor will be seen in a completely new avatar of a Banarasi boy in the film, which is an adaptation of Romeo Juliet.
"Aamir and Kiran have been my mentors and guide. They have supported me and made me believe in myself as an actor. They have hand held me through my first few films. In 'Issaq' I have ventured on my own.
"I would like Aamir and Kiran to see the promo and the film so that they can be my good luck charm and be part of the process as this film is very close to my heart. They being there would be a feeling of great support for me," Prateik said in a statement.
Directed by 'Dil Dosti Etc' helmer Manish Tiwary, 'Issaq' is slated to release in July.
