Congress corporator Vikrant Chavan, who alongwith three others is facing a case of abetment following Parmar's suicide here on October 7, received a threatening call yesterday.
Parmar, in his suicide note, had said that certain corporators and officials at the Thane Municipal Corporation were harassing him for bribes and stalling his projects.
According to Chavan, whose pre-arrest bail application is pending before the Bombay High Court and who has got interim protection from arrest, somebody identifying himself as Ravi Pujari called his office in Vartak Nagar here.
The caller also said that Chavan should call him back.
Inspector B M Daima is carrying out further investigation.
