CM Rawat reached Kankhal in Haridwar to meet the Shankaracharya and seek his blessing, an official release here stated.
"State government has been working hard for the preservation and development of Chardham (Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri). Jyotish Peeth situated at Joshimath will also be revived," the Chief Minister said.
Rawat informed the Shankaracharya that reconstruction of Kedarnath Temple, which was damaged by 2013 flash floods in the state, is in full swing and added the government is trying to provide all kinds of facilities to the pilgrims of Chardham Yatra.
