Molla, who met the Chief Minister for about 45 minutes, said he had come to meet her for repair of two roads in his constituency.
"When two political persons meet there will be political discussion," he said.
Molla had launched a new front after being expelled from the CPM for his alleged anti-party activities in February 2014.
Asked whether he would join the TMC, Molla said you would come to know when I do.
Dalmia said it was courtesy visit and she had come to meet Banerjee for the first time after the death of her father Jagmohan Dalmia.
