Rear Admiral Sanjay Mahindru takes over as Flag Officer
Press Trust of India Visakhapatnam Rear Admiral Sanjay Mahindru has assumed the duty of Flag Officer, Submarines.
He took the charge yesterday from Rear Admiral S V Bokhare.
Mahindru was commissioned on January 1, 1985, and has served for 27 years in the Submarine Arm, according to an ENC release here.
He has commanded a conventional submarine, a frigate and a destroyer, prior to assuming command of nuclear submarine Arihant. Whilst serving ashore, the officer commanded the Navy's Submarine Training Establishment and has been a Director at Naval Headquarters.
He is an alumnus of the prestigious College of Naval Warfare and has also completed the Staff Course in the United Kingdom, the release added.
