Replying to calling attention moved by Congress MLC Jugal Kishore in State Legislative Assembly here, minister of state for Education, Feroz Khan said that presently the posts of ZEOs in all six zones of the district are lying vacant.
Khan, however, said that temporary arrangements have been made to fill these positions by assigning charge to Zonal Education Planning Officers (ZEPO's)/Principals/Lecturer of concerned zones for smooth functioning.
Kishore flayed the government for not filling these vacancies and asked that how does it contemplate to use the amount received under various central sponsored schemes without appointing the ZEO's, as ZEPO's don't have the powers to invest these funds.
