Meanwhile, Congress Legislative Party leader Sunil Jakhar told the people of Moga to ask the Akalis as what they had done for the people of Punjab. Addressing public meetings in support of the party candidate Vijay Sathi in different villages here, Jakhar pointed out had not Amarinder, during his tenure as the Punjab CM, prevented Punjab waters from being given away to Haryana and Rajasthan, the entire Malwa region would have been rendered dry and barren. "Compare this with Akalis and ask them to quote a single example that could match this decision," he said, adding that the SAD government is dependent on central aid only as it is otherwise bankrupt.
