Khator claimed reservation is the reason that none of the Indian universities has been made able to get a place in the world rankings.
The Farukkhabad born Khator, who earned her Bachelor's degree from Kanpur university in 1973, told reporters here that there was no reservation in the educational institutions in United States
To promote bright students from the weaker section of the society, the educational institutions in the US give full financial support, Khator who is on a five-day visit to India said.
She said there was no dearth of talent in the country but "efforts to promote" it was lacking.
Khator said in the US no person has the right to speak against the country.
On JNU incident, she said that merely one or two person cannot be considered as India.
