Reshuffle in West Bengal IAS cadre

In a reshuffle in the IAS cadre in West Bengal today, several senior officials have been given new assignments.
Home department officials said Power Secretary Gopal Krishnan has been asked to take over as Planning and Development Secretary, replacing Subesh Das who has retired.
Industry Secretary S Kishore has been made power secretary, while managing director of West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC) Krishna Gupta will take over the former's position.

Maharashtra cadre IAS officer of 1986 batch Bipin Bihari Mallick has been appointed as Additional Secretary in Home Ministry replacing B K Prasad who is retiring on July 31.

Joint Secretary in the Civil Aviation Ministry Balwinder Singh Bhullar, 1986-batch IAS of UP cadre, has been elevated to the post of Additional Secretary in the Ministry by upgrading his post for a period of two years.

Anil Kumar Khachi, the Chief Vigilance Officer of Food Corporation of India, has been appointed as Additional Secretary in the Department of Financial Services.
The post of Umesh Sinha, Deputy Election Commissioner, has been upgraded to Additional Secretary Level.
Gajendra Bhujbal (IES 1981) has been appointed as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor, Department of Fertilizers.
Inder Jit Singh (IAS of 1985-batch Kerala cadre) has been appointed as Additional Secretary in Ministry of New and Renewable Energy while S P Singh Parihar (IAS, 1986-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre) has been appointed as Chairman, Central Pollution Control Board.

Suresh Kumar (IAS of 1986 batch Jammu and Kashmir cadre) has been elevated as Additional Secretary in Defence Ministry while Veena Ish (IAS of 1985-batch Andhra Pradesh cadre) has been appointed as Member (Administration) National Highway Authority of India.
