"We have received the file from the Advocate General. Some suggestions have come to the fore, that will be incorporated and RFP released by month-end," the Chief Minister said yesterday.
The Goa government had announced in the Monsoon session earlier this year to finalize the tender for the project by December, 2015.
It had floatedthe Request For Qualification (RFQ) for the construction of the airport on October 3, 2014.
According to government records, five companies, namely, M/s GMR Airports Ltd, Airports Authority of India (AAI), M/s Essel Infra projects Limited, M/s GVK Airport Developers Private Limited and M/s Voluptas Developers Private Limited, have submitted their technical bids.
The decision has been opposed by certain sections, including a tourism lobby from South Goa, who have expressed concerns that the project would benefit the neighbouring state of Maharashtra.
