Kim Kardashian's brother has struggled with his weight in recent years, was diagnosed with the Type 2 blood sugar condition in 2015.
According to TMZ, the 29-year-old checked himself into a medical centre near his home in Hidden Hills, California for treatment, when doctors attempted to stabilise his blood sugar levels.
Rob's on/off relationship with Blac Chyna, from whom he split just days before Christmas, reportedly prompted him to eat excessively and lose control of his diabetes.
Chyna and his mother Kris Jenner were spotted arriving at the hospital shortly afterwards.
It has been a roller coaster year for the couple, which began dating in January this year. Rob and Chyna became engaged in April and announced their baby news in May.
Dream was born in early November, a little sister for Chyna's four-year-old son King with her ex-fiance Tyga, who is now dating Rob's half-sister Kylie Jenner.
