RS expresses sorrow over drowning of 24 engg students

Rajya Sabha today expressed grief over the drowning of 24 engineering students in Beas river in Himachal Pradesh.
"The loss of precious lives in this incident in indeed tragic. I am sure, the whole House will join me in expressing our deepest condolences and sympathy to the bereaved families," Chairman Hamid Ansari said as soon as the House met for the day.
The members rose on their places and observed silence as mark of respect to the memory of the victims.
