RSP produced 2,313,295 tonnes of hot metal, 2,098,685 tonnes of crude steel and 2,058,197 tonnes of saleable steel during April 2013 to February 2014, which are the highest ever figures since inception, RSP sources said today.
The company has set a new benchmark by producing 34,35,012 tonnes of sinter and 4,54,614 tonnes of Plate Mill Plates, registering a growth of 11.8 per cent over the corresponding period last year. The plant also produced 1,20,110 tonnes of galvanised sheets, a growth of 10.2 per cent against the production recorded in the year-ago period.
The new coke oven battery-6 also recorded best ever pushings for any single day on 13th February with 87 pushings.
Best technological parameters were also registered during April 2013 to February 2014 in coke rate, blast furnace productivity, coal to hot metal ratio and specific energy consumption, sources added.
