Sharma said some of the states, including Himachal Pradesh are not following the central government's directive of appointing Class 3 and Class 4 categories on the criteria of merit.
"Sir I urge the central government to intervene to correct this situation and direct Himachal and other states to follow Prime Minister's order in this regard," he added.
On December 31, last year, the central government had announced that there won't be interviews for Class-III and IV jobs. Prime Minister Narandra Modi had also appealed to all Chief Ministers to take the same step.
He said the Himachal Pradesh government comes out with thousands of advertisements for government jobs.
"According to government figures in the last three years around 25,000 posts have been advertised by the government where appointments have not taken place on merit," Sharma said.
