Rural Health Centre inaugurated

A three-bedded Rural Health Centre of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital here was inaugurated on the premises of Sri Krishna Engineering and Arts College Campus in the city on Palakkad Main road.
The health centre in Kuniamuthur and to be run from 8.30 AM to four pm daily will have facilities like out-patient department with a medical officer from the hospital, a dental clinic with a dentist from Sri Ramakrishna Dental College and Hospital, V Ramakrishnan, COO, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, which is running the hospital, told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration.
Inaugurated by the State Municipal Administration Minister, S P Velumani, the centre has a laboratory to perform blood tests, a 50mA X-Ray department,ECG Machine and Pharmacy.

An ambulance will be placed at the centre to pick any patients in and around the area for any emergency purpose.
Besides providing medical services to general public, the centre will extend medical consultation and treatment to students, alumni, parents and staff of Sri Krishna Institutions at a concessional rate, he said.
Chairperson and Managing Director of Sri Krishna Instititions S Malarvizhi, CEO of SNR Sons Trust, Ramkumar, senior doctors of the hospital and faculty and students were present.
