Police spokesman Brig Hangwani Mulaudzi said today that 21 pieces of women's genitalia were found stored in plastic bags in a freezer.
Police also discovered anesthetic and other surgical implements in the man's home.
The spokesman said police were alerted by one of the 58-year-old man's victims. The man was arrested on Thursday in the city of Bloemfontein in the central Free State province. Mulaudzi said the man will appear in court on Monday on charges of sexual assault.
Mulaudzi said police have enlisted the help of forensics experts who may find other criminal charges.
