Bhandare will hold the post from 2017 to 2019.
He succeeds Narayan Bandekar, who was president of the Chamber for two terms(from 2013 to 2017), GCCI said in a statement today.
EversinceBhandarejoined GCCI in 1994, hehas played an active role in its affairsandhasservedin many importantpositions such as Treasurer and Vice-President, it said.
A rank holder of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Indiaand a reputed practicing CA, he has been headingthe Chamber's Taxation Committeesince 2003.
