SBT, FCI enter semis at PSU T20 cricket tournament

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and Food Corporation of India (FCI) entered the semi-finals of the All-India Public Sector T20 Cricket Tournament, organised by RCF, here today.
In the semis, SBT would clash with State Bank of Hyderabad, while FCI will face defending champions Air India.
In a keenly fought match, SBT overcame the stiff challenge of Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) by seven runs. Rakesh, with 31 runs, top scored for the winning side.
CWC fought hard through Shashank Negi and Pratik Suneja but fell short of the victory target.
In the other match, Geetansh Khera's innings of 59 off 38 balls helped FCI beat Bharat Petroleum by 15 runs. Eknath Kerkar top scored 52 in 36 balls for BPCL but his effort went in vain.
Indian Oil Corporation won an inconsequential match beating RBI by 74 runs.
Brief scores: SBT 133 for 7 (Rakesh 31; Dinesh Kabira 2 for 19) bt Central Warehousing 126 for 7 (Shashank Negi 50, Pratik Suneja 45).
FCI 164 for 8 (Geetansh Khera 59; Anup Revandkar 3 for 34) bt BPCL 149 for 8 (Bhavin Thakkar 45, Eknath Kerkar 52; Vinay Chaudhari 2 for 22, Shivprakash Jaiswal 2 for 22).
IOC 204 for 6 (Paresh Patel 62, Wasim Jaffer 42, Abbas Ali 38, Rohan Raje 38) bt RBI 130 for 9 (Saumitra Singh 36; Vikrant Yelligatti 3 for 31, Rajesh Pawar 2 for 8, Balwinder Sandhu 2 for 23).
