A bench headed by Chief Justice H L Dattu asked the CBI to respond after BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy submitted that there has been no progress on that front even though the agency stated in its charge sheet that aspect needed to be probed.
The bench deferred the hearing for October 16 as Special Public Prosecutor(SPP) in 2G scam case Anand Grover, pleaded that he needed some time to file his note on the allegation against CBI Director.
It had also agreed to consider a plea for hearing allegations levelled against him without knowing the name of the whistleblower in a case relating to controversial entries in the visitors' diary at his residence.
