Select base metals decline on selling, global cues

Nickel, select brass and copper prices declined at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amidst subdued demand from industrial users on the back of lower global cues.
Meanwhile, tin, copper sheet cutting, brass utensils scrap, aluminium utensils scrap and lead prices gained owing to good offtake from consumer industries.
Globally, the industrial metals slipped at the LME in early trade, as a weaker-than-expected European manufacturing survey for June dented prospects for otherwise encouraging global growth.
Nickel fell by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,225 from Monday's closing level of Rs 1,230.
Copper utensils scrap and Brass sheet cutting looked down by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 455 and Rs 353 from Rs 458 and Rs 356, respectively.

Copper scrap heavy softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 488.

However, tin surged by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,600 as against Rs 1,595 yesterday.
Brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 339 from Rs 337.
Copper sheet cutting, aluminium utensils scrap, and lead all inched-up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 475, Rs 130 and Rs 143.
