Select base metals end mixed

Brass and aluminium prices gained while, select copper and nickel declined in an otherwise mixed non-ferrous metal market here today on bouts of buying and selling despite lower London Metal Exchange (LME) cues.
The industrial metal edged down at the LME, with concerns the United States would curb its commodity-friendly stimulus as soon as this month eclipsing a step up in monthly imports from top consumer China.
Brass utensils scrap climbed by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 346 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 343.
Brass sheet cutting moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 356 from Rs 354.

Aluminium ingots and aluminium utensils scrap inched-up by Re 1 per kg each to Rs 148 and Rs 124 respectively.
However, Copper scrap heavy declined by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 491 from Rs 494.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar and nickel moved down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 500, Rs 528 and Rs 988 as against Rs 502, Rs 530 and Rs 990 previously.
