Selena Gomez underwent chemotherapy after Lupus diagnosis

Selena Gomez was away from the spotlight since quite sometime and the singer has revealed she was undergoing chemotherapy after being diagnosed with Lupus.
The 23-year-old former Disney star said her time-off was actually a chance for her to deal with the illness, reported People magazine.
"I was diagnosed with Lupus, and I've been through chemotherapy. That's what my break was really about. I could've had a stroke," Gomez said.
About the issue created for her break from the spotlight she said, "I wanted so badly to say, 'You guys have no idea. I'm in chemotherapy. I locked myself away until I was confident and comfortable again.
