Shiv Sena, BJP and RPI, alliance partners in Maharashtra, today said they are united and would contest the next Lok Sabha polls together.
"We are together and will contest the elections together", RPI chief Ramdas Athawale said while addressing a gathering after inaugurating a trauma care hospital built by BMC here.
"There are many who feel that our alliance should not continue. However, we are together and we will contest the elections together," Athawale said.
Seconding Athawale, senior BJP leader Gopinath Munde said "ATM (Athawale, Thackeray and Munde) will not break and will stay together."
"Our fight is not for the seat, post or prestige," Munde said adding they want to form the government together.
The trauma care hospital, named after late Sena supremo Bal Thackeray, was inaugurated by party president Uddhav Thackeray in the presence of Athawale and Munde.
Uddhav desisted from making a comment on the letter sent to him by senior Sena leader Manohar Joshi who was booed off the stage during the party's annual Dussehra rally a week ago.
"I will talk on the issue when I want to," he said.
