Shiv Sena workers staged a demonstration against the ongoing work of the Metro-3 project and damaged a contractor's vehicle here on Monday, police said.
Three Sena workers were arrested on rioting and other charges during the demonstration held at Thakurdwar in South Mumbai to protest inconvenience caused to members of the public due to the under-construction 33.5-km long corridor, they said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Pranay Ashok told PTI, "We have arrested three Sena workers under relevant sections of the IPC, including 146 (rioting), 336 (endangering life or personal safety of others) and 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others)."
